Meg Sparrow believes that a great teacher is a compass that activates the magnets of curiosity, wonder, and wisdom in her students and it’s what she does every day in her duties as a Fifth-Grade classroom teacher at Manchester School in Windham.

Last week, during National School Counseling Week, the Maine School Counselors Association announced that Ms. Weatherbee has been named Maine's 2024 School Counselor of the Year. Jennifer Breton believes that gifted students should concentrate on learning and not worry about social adjustment and peer judgement so they will develop positive feelings about themselves and better self-esteem to maximize their abilities and reach their potential.
